Tim is obsessed with what aging specialists call squaring the curve — living life all-out with little or no decline toward the end, and then experiencing a short (and hopefully contended) demise, a life where "healthspan" equals lifespan. This obsession has resulted in three college degrees, more injuries than he can count, personal and professional quests in more than 40 countries, and a bucketful of exhilarating highs and gut wrenching lows. His loving and long suffering wife accurately refers to it as his "25 year (and counting) midlife crisis".
